And this quote came into my mind. I'm not sure if this is a quote I've heard/read somewhere, or if it just came into my mind because I'm genius.

Weekend Buys + SAO

Have really overspent recently and I feel really guilty. :(

Ketam

Ketam is always fun for me because I don't always have the chance to go there. So when I do, I almost always enjoy myself.

I'm quite ok with most of the sections rated double black diamonds. Except for Overshot. I always have difficulty gauging how much momentum I need to clear it.

Anyhow, today was not too hot. But the mud and rocks are really slippery. The Schwalbe NN doesn't really do well in such conditions I guess, as my rear is skidding around.

So this is the place which sells Red Man brand konnyaku premix powder. Luckily there is a store nearby at Clementi. Cycled there and back, bought a packet of premix and 4 trays of mould.

Fox Float 36

Fox Float 36 is ONLY available in white? Too bad.

Fox makes good suspension forks. Really. But that's it. There are others out there which makes forks just as good, if not better. AND they offer them in black as well. I'm not going to fuck up my colour scheme just so I can use Fox products.

So I'm keen to change my fork and rear shocks. DB Air for the rear, and probably Rockshox Lyrik for the fork. I'll admit that if Fox do manufacture Fox Float in black, that will be my fork. But too bad, because I don't want my bike to become an eyesore.

Hammer Endurolytes

I've used about 7 tablets so far. One for each ride. I dissolve one tablet in a glass of water in the morning and drink it before a ride.

No more cramps! Definitely works better than some of the isotonic drinks in the market.

AirBuds

Finally! The replacement for the spoilt earphones have arrived. This time, I got a pair of AirBuds. I was considering a pair of Klipsh, but found a short review for AirBuds and thought I'll give these a try.

The ordering process was fast, and Nicholas was extremely helpful. The order came slow, but that is to do with USPS and SingPost.

Today, the pair of AirBuds arrived. It came in a bubble wrapped package, complete with instructions for the foam tips.

I'm not much of an audiophile. But I can tell that the sound has great clarity. The bass is good, but not overpowering like my previous earphones. The sound should get better after it burns in.

Something worth an additional note would be the foam tips. IT IS FARKING COMFORTABLE!!! It doesn't create a perfect seal, but when the sound comes on, you shouldn't be able to hear much external noises. I almost can't feel the intrusion in my ears. It really is something I can sleep with!

Extremely helpful staff, good quality product, lives up to their claims. I see a very successful business as long as this lasts.

The Countdown

10 days to the start of a new phase of life, and I'm still quite unprepared.

Things to do:
1) Register for examinations
2) Buy work clothes
3) Call school up for completion letter
4) Hair cut Most of them require money.

I look forward to my first pay.
